For Kids and Family

  1. Every child loves ice cream. The love for icecream carries over into adulthood too. But we all know that ice cream is not the healthiest snack out there. That is of course, if it is not banana ice cream.

Ingredients: Bananas, crushed peanuts, dark chocolate chips

First you need to peel the banana and freeze it. Once it is frozen, remove it from the freezer and blend it untill it is smooth. Then you simply put it in a bowl and add the peanuts and chocolate chips and you have a healthy banana ice cream. This is great because it contains no added sugar, except for if you choose to add topings, and it is dairy free for the lactose intolerant out there.

  1. Pasta is not known to be the most healthy thing for a person to eat. Pasta salad just makes it worse with all the add ins. But prepare yourself to learn how to make a healthy pasta salad.

Ingredients: Fortified pasta, edamame, olive oil, vinegar, salt/pepper, Dixie cups (for children)

First you need to cook the pasta and defrost the edamame (green soybeans). Then you mix them together in a large bowl and toss with dressing made from olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper. Finally put small portions in dixie cups for children and bowls for yourselves.
